Here is a question for expats here, particularly the ones with family and kids. How do you juggle work and family?
My dilemma is I have small kids and want to raise them in the States. There were a couple of good opportunities in Asia (China / Singapore) in the past but they all required relocation. Today just got another very good lead but before I even seriously consider it, i have to figure out what I need to do with my family and how to juggle work in China (or Asia Region) and family in the US.
I heard of crazy stories of “international family” where the husband is working in China while the wife and kids are in the U.S. The idea is ridiculous to me. Because it is not a matter of financial reward or career growth, it’s about quality of life and happiness of your family. So my question to you expats out there, how do you juggle work, family, and kids? I am out of ideas.
