Why do you have to leave your family in the US? Especially if the kids are quite small, wouldn’t it be great for them to live in Shanghai for a while?
I spent 5 years in Africa with my parents when I was little (age 4-9). I think it’s a major advantage for the rest of my life…
Definitely living anywhere with both your parents is better than living in the US with daddy being away 11 months of the year.
