Today I visited the Virgin active at Emquartier to ask about memberships, I was expecting to get guide around the gym and possibly a free trial, but was seated in the lobby area and had the confusing memberships explained to me, I hope this helps:
There is a initial activation fee for any of the membership packages of 5000 THB (excluding tax). They did offer different types of discounts on the activation fee, again depending on the package selected.
The Flexible Package
Weekly dues 825 / (excluding vat)
This is a initial commitment (or a bit longer if you join between fortnightly billing dates) that continues for additional 2 week period unless terminated.
6 Month package
Weekly dues 750 / (excluding vat)
A Initial 6 month commitment period for those who want more flexibility, that then continues fortnightly until terminated.
12 Month package
Initial 12 month commitment period for those who know what they want, that then continues until terminated.
Guest Fees
800 BHT / Visit excluding vat
Replacement fees
Membership card 150 THB
Membership card and wrist band 300 THB
Wellness Key 500 THB
Free Fees:
To freeze membership for a minimum of 4 weeks the cost is 200 THB per week (excluding vat)
I will be staying with True Fitness and Tony’s Fitness until I can get a better deal at the Virgin Active
